Wednesday 30th May Upper Wardington - Thorpe Mandeville 5.8 miles

Cancelled due to rain forecasted. Sorry!

Hi All
I hope to see you on this walk. The weather is hopefully improving, If you would like to share transport contact me. The ramble starts between  10.15  and 10.30 a.m. Please let me know if you are planning to come.

It is beautiful countryside, Wide views. Undulating.  One or two steepish climbs. This walk is part of a battlefield trail. The battle was at Danes Moor near Edgcote Lodge farm. See link Battle of Edgcote. We have not done most of the walk before except for the bit near the battlefield. I suggest we end up at the excellent pub at Chipping Warden. The Griffin.

Thursday 22 March Wroxton - Broughton Park 5.6 miles

Hi All
I hope to see you on this walk. If you would like to share transport contact me and be at my house by 9. 30 a.m. please. The ramble starts between  10 and 10.15  a.m. Please let me know if you are planning to come. (No need if you have already contacted me). There is no Ramblers walk this week as it is the annual lunch.

Wroxton is a beautiful  village. Some undulating countryside. There are at least two pubs. The White Horse on the main Stratford to Banbury road and the Barley Mow opposite the first traffic lights on the way home has very good value meals. There is a lot of historical information about Wroxton on the internet at www.wroxton.org.uk

Take A422 from Banbury and after sharp left go straight ahead, into Wroxton. Bear right and park near village pond.  Up to 45 mins drive but worth it. 21.5 miles from Warwick.
