More ViewRanger features

Hi All
We had an excellent day out at Chipping Warden. ViewRanger proved to be much better than my car satnav.

Re next Ramblers walk
Tuesday Aug 1st Sibford Gower – Sibford ferris v5
lead by me.
I have been fiddling with ViewRanger again and found some more useful features. You can download the ramble on your smartphone using
ViewRanger Shortcode uthreea0284
(case does not matter – use zero 284 not O for orange 284)
If you have already downloaded it then Synchronize via the three vertical dots on the top right of the ViewRanger smartphone screen. (It is always a good idea to synchronize on the morning of the ramble in case I made any modifications, the evening before.)
Select the above route/ramble on your smartphone.
You can scroll up and down for directions and other information.
There are 3 tabs displayed just below the map.
The first one “i” displays the information I just mentioned.
The second one displays some of the waypoints and any notes or photos. Select each waypoint to see more information. This is useful for reminders at a particular waypoint e.g. directions to the walk leader, when leading a walk.
The third one display a graph of altitude changes. Gives an indication of how undulating the walk is.

Chipping Warden - Eydon 6 miles Thursday 27th July

Hi All
I have fitted in an extra ramble because of the (hopefully) nice weather. We enjoyed the ramble from Chipping Warden that we did earlier this year so I have planned another from there. It does include  a couple of miles that we did before. E.g. the disused World War 2 bomber airfield (1941 - 45). So I intend to reverse the route.

If you would like a lift, I have room for one. The ramble starts at 10 a.m.

If you downloaded the walk to your phone before you read this post please synchronize ViewRanger on your phone. I have amended the walk slightly. Please also reverse the route on your phone.

It is an excellent ramble. Very nice countryside. Undulating. There is a spring just after a bridge. You need good boots to cross a short muddy patch.
